Lake Powell 2010

We had such a fun time at lake powell this year. It is such a beautiful place!

We went on a family vacation to Oregon this month, and we had a blast. Jake loved the beach, it was a BLAST!!

If you are wondering what Jake is doing with that giant plant, he thought it was a flower and wanted his mom to have it.

We went to the aquarium, Jake loved the seals!

The light house was fun, and in a beautiful area.

Jake had fun flying kites, and playing in the sand.

We went and looked at the ships at the port, Jake and Jace loved the cool boats. Kate just wanted to go back to the beach.

A Photography Contest

There is an amazing blog that I just love called the pioneerwoman, and she is an amazing woman. She is a great photographer, cook, gardener, and mom. She has an amazing blog, and one category of it is photography. She does a photography contest about every month, and there are about 100,000 photos entered into it each time. Well I decided to enter a picture from our recent trip to Oregon, and to my surprise it was one of the finalist, or groups that she picks. Kate's Blessing

Katie Thompson was blessed on Sun. June 6th. by her father. It was such a nice blessing, and there were so many people there supporting us.

Kate at One Week!!

Kate has been such a great baby!! She is so fun, and I can not imagine life without her. Jake has been so good with her, and is doing great as well. Here are her one week pictures.

The Best Mothers Day Gift EVER!!

Kate was born May 6th 2010!! It was quite a surprise when we went to the hospital Wed. evening with some contractions. Kate was born at 1:50 am Thur. morning, 7lbs, 8oz. 20.5 in. My actual due date is not until the 20th of May, although I was expecting to be induced a week early. This delivery was much different than Jake, I only had to push twice, while on the other hand I pushed for two hours with Jake! Birth is such a great miracle, it was so amazing. Here are a few pictures from the hospital.

Before we were able to take her home they tested her jaundice, and the results came back high. We were able to leave, but we ended up with a Bili Blanket. Hopefully everything goes well, we will find out tomorrow what her levels are at. If they have gone up much more we may have to put her back in the hospital. We hope for the best, but I thought that she looked so cute with the blanket, she looks like a little glow worm!!

18 Months

So I know it has been a while, but we have been pretty busy!! We moved across town, and our internet was a pain to get set up. But anyhow, Jake has been 18 months now for a month and a half, and I am now just posting!! He is such a fun kid, and is growing up way too fast. He just can't wait for his little sister to come in about three and a half weeks. Life is just changing like CRAZY!! But anyway life is good, and we are now settled into our new house. I will post pictures soon.
